Welcome to the official rulebook of the FAS Winter Saga India, a premier Moba Legends: 5v5! tournament designed to bring together the top ML teams across India. This event is dedicated to fostering the growth of esports in India and providing a competitive platform for skilled players to showcase their talents.

Why is this document important?
This rulebook outlines the official guidelines, rules, and procedures governing the FAS Winter Saga, ensuring that the tournament is conducted with fairness, integrity, and respect for all participants. We encourage all teams, players, and staff to familiarize themselves with these regulations to ensure a smooth, professional, and competitive experience throughout the event.
Tournament Format
Stage 1: Qualifiers (Rounds 1-5) - Elimination Stage
Format: Single Elimination (Best of 1)
• Rounds 1 through 5
• Win your match → Move to next round
• Lose your match → Eliminated
Stage 2: Round 6 - Elimination Stage
Format: Best of 3
• Win 2 matches → Advance to League Stage
• Lose 2 matches → Eliminated
Stage 3: Top 8 League Stage
Format: Round Robin (Best of 3)
• Every team plays against each other
• Each victory earns points
• Top 4 teams qualify for playoffs
Stage 4: Playoffs
Format: Double Elimination (Best of 5)
• Top 4 teams battle it out
• Teams need two losses to be eliminated
• Winners advance to Finals
Final Stage: Grand Finals
Format: Best of 7
• First team to win 4 matches becomes Champion
Rules & Regulations
1. Team Roster
- •Each team can have a maximum of 7 players—5 main players and 2 substitutes.
- •All team members must be Indian citizens, with no international players allowed.
- •The player should use the registered id in every match if not it would be considered as violation and would be penalised

2. Single-Team Participation
- •Players are prohibited from playing for more than one active team in the tournament. Violating this rule will result in disqualification for both teams involved.
3. Player and Team Information
- •Players must provide their full name, contact details, phone model (e.g., Realme GT6, iPhone 13), and a photo. They must comply if requested for a photo.
- •Team names must not contain any 18+ words, racist language, or inappropriate content.
4. Team Identity
- •Team logos should be free of any political, vulgar, religious, or offensive content. White Feathers Arcadia reserves the right to reject logos that do not meet these standards.
5. Roster and Team Changes
- •No changes to the roster are allowed during the qualifiers stage.
- •The transfer window for the top 8 teams qualified for the league stage will be open until 48 hours before the Round Robin starts.
6. Hero Restrictions
- •Newly released heroes are banned for the current competition stage. The Tournament Administration reserves the right to ban patched heroes if they affect game balance.
7. Draft and Game Restarts
- •Teams are responsible for their internet connection during drafts. Incorrect hero picks due to connection issues will not qualify for a re-draft, and there will be no restart under any circumstances.
- •It is not recommended to swap heroes during the drafting phase, as an unintended swap will result in no restart being allowed.
- •In the event of a game bug, a screen recording must be submitted to the designated referee, who will evaluate the situation and determine if a re-draft is necessary. The game referee, who remains in the lobby, will also need to have experienced the bug. If the issue arises due to your device, we are not responsible for any disruptions.
- •No restarts will be allowed under any circumstances unless there is a game bug or an incorrect lobby code/server selection by the referee.
- •There won't be a redraft if an accidentally wrong spell or emblem is being picked by one / multiple team members.
8. Pauses
- •Each team is allowed a maximum of 3 minutes pause time per match. Unused pause time cannot be carried over across games within a series. Pauses are not permitted during ongoing team fights at the Turtle or Lord locations. A pause will only be granted after the team fight concludes. Teams must provide a valid reason for the pause to the match referee, who will determine if the pause is warranted.
- •Teams must provide thorough documentation (such as screenshots or screen recordings) to the referee after the match to justify their pause request.
- •Failure to provide valid proof for pause requests may result in penalties, with severity determined by the impact of the team's actions.
9. Punctuality and Tardiness
- •Teams must join the lobby 15 minutes before the scheduled match time.
- •In Best of 3, 5, & 7 formats, teams that are 5 minutes late after the scheduled time will forfeit 1 game, and after 10 minutes, the entire series will be forfeited.
- •In Best of 1 formats, teams that are 10 minutes late after the scheduled time will be disqualified.
- •
If both teams fail to arrive after 10 minutes of the scheduled time:
• The team with the most ready players (shown to the referee as a green ✅ over the player) in the lobby will be awarded a default win.
• For example: In a match between Team X and Team Y, if Team X has 4 members in lobby but only 2 ready (2 ✅) and Team Y has 3 members all ready (3 ✅), Team Y will advance.
- •
If both teams have equal ready players after 10 minutes:
• Example: If Team X has 3 ready players (3 ✅) and Team Y also has 3 ready players (3 ✅)
• The Head referee may either grant a 5-minute extension or immediately disqualify both teams.
- •All match results are final and cannot be disputed once approved by the Head referee.
10. Match Rescheduling
- •Teams must request any match rescheduling before the match schedule is uploaded. (Match scheduling 48 hours prior to the match time)
- •For rescheduling there must be a valid reason which should be addressed to the Head referee prior to the schedule disclosure.
11. Discord Voice Channel Rules
- •All team members should be present in the assigned voice channel by the referee.
- •The playing 5 members should be present in Discord with their screen share throughout the whole draft phase and match.
- •Coaches can be present in the Discord voice channel allotted to their respective team during the drafting phase but must leave the lobby once the match starts.
- •Any sneak peek in other teams' voice channels will be considered a violation of the rules and may lead to penalties or disqualification.
- •One referee will be present in the voice channel allotted to the team to ensure that no hacks or piloting are being done.
12. Player Participation Requirements
- •Any 2 players from the top 8 teams entering the Regular Season must have active webcams turned on during match time. Players failing to cooperate will not be allowed to join matches.
13. Screen Sharing, Recording and Result
- •All players must share their screen via Discord during the tournament. If unable to do so, players must record their screen, showing their device model number before entering the lobby and after the match ends, with no editing. The recording must be submitted to the match referee within 30+5 minutes of the match ending. Failure to comply will result in severe penalties or disqualification.
- •After every match the screenshot of the match results should be sent to the respective referee without hiding the hero draft like eg.
- •The voice of the players are subject to recording also.
- •Any disputes regarding the match results should be reported within 5 minutes of the matches' finishing. Any disputes after the 5-minute mark will be subject to the decision of the Head Referee whether to pursue them or not. As always, the Head Referee holds the final say regarding tournament details.
14. Points Distribution, Tie breaker rules and Game Difference
In the League Stage, teams winning 2-0 will earn 3 points, while teams winning 2-1 will earn 2 points.

In the event that multiple teams are tied at the same standings at the end of the round robin Stage:
- •If there is a two-way tie, the team will be ranked by head-to-head record. Head to Head record ranks teams by their win or lose against each other during round robin.
- •If multiple teams are tied, teams will be ranked according to the average match length of their victories; in the matches with a shorter length would be ranked higher.
Game Difference is calculated as the number of games won minus the number of games lost during BO3 matches.

15. IGN Changes
- •Players are not permitted to change their IGN without approval from the Tournament Administration. Unauthorized name changes will result in disqualification.
16. Media Requests
- •Players must comply with Tournament Administration requests for interviews, photos, or media appearances, which may include pre/post-match interviews and press conferences.
- •Players are required to behave respectfully during the interview. Failure To behave professionally and respectfully will result in penalties
17. Toss and Server Selection
- •In Best of 1 (Bo1), before every match, a toss will be performed. The team that wins the toss will choose between server and first pick (in case the server of both teams is different) or between first pick and second pick (if both teams share the same server).
- •In Best of 3, Best of 5, and Best of 7 formats, before every series starts, there will be a toss for the first match. The team that wins the toss will choose between server and first pick (if the servers are different) or between first pick and second pick (if the servers are the same).
- •For the second match, the team that loses the toss will choose between server or first pick (depending on whether the servers are the same or different).
- •This process continues for subsequent matches.
18. Substitutions
- •All substitution changes must be informed no later than 2 hours before the respective match time
- •Each team is allowed to swap in substitute player(s) listed on its respective roster before the start of each series , mid series adjustment is NOT allowed . Player substitution must be communicated with FAS moderators and only proceed with moderator's permission
19. Ping test
- •We might conduct a routine ping test throughout the FAS winter saga 2 hours ahead of first scheduled stream match.if any team refuses to conduct a ping test , the Event Organizer will not accommodate any complaints related to respective matches
- •The Head referee will use the most appropriate server for each game based on the toss results and team players location.
- •If there is a sudden network problem after The official match starts , team members can ask for a pause (refer 8. Pause)
- •If any team or player refuses to conduct The ping test as requested by the Fas Moderator , the respective team or player is fully responsible for any bad tournament experience and result that might be due to an internet connection issues.
20. Sportsmanship and Conduct
- •Players proven to have been cheating, conspiring to cheat, or acting in unsportsmanlike conduct will receive consequences upon the review of their action (21. Penalty Appendix).
- •Cheating is defined as any practice that gives an unfair advantage to a team or player. The following actions will be considered unfair play and will be subject to penalties at the discretion of the FAS officials.
- •Collusion. Collusion is defined as any agreement among two (2) or more Players, Head Coaches, Teams, and/or confederates to disadvantage opposing Players. Collusion includes, but is not limited to, acts such as:
- •Soft play is defined as any agreement among two (2) or more players to not damage, impede, or otherwise play to a reasonable standard of competition in a game.
- •Pre-arranging to split prize money and/or any other form of compensation.
- •Sending or receiving signals, electronic or otherwise, from a confederate to/from a Player.
- •Deliberately losing a Game for prize money, or for any other reason, or attempting to induce another Player to do so.
- •Unfair information sharing. Unfair information sharing is defined as any under-the-table information leak among players from different teams.
- •Hacking. Hacking is defined as any modification of the Moba Legends 5v5 game client by any Player, Team or person acting on behalf of a Player or a Team.
- •Exploiting. Exploiting is defined as intentionally using any in-game bug to seek an advantage. Exploiting includes but is not limited to, acts such as glitches in buying items, glitches in neutral minion interactions, glitches in Hero's ability performance, or any other game function that, in the sole determination of the FAS committee, is not functioning as intended.
- •Spectator Monitors. Players who are playing in a Game are not permitted to look at or attempt to look at any screen or device that is displaying an observer-level view of that Game (i.e., that is or is capable of showing a neutral view of the map).
- •Piloting. Playing under another Player's account or soliciting, inducing, encouraging or directing someone else to play under another Player's account.
- •Cheating Methods. The use of any kind of cheating device and/or cheat program, or any similar cheating method such as signaling devices, hand signals, etc.
- •Intentional Disconnection. An intentional disconnection without a proper and explicitly stated reason.
- •FAS official discretion. Any other further act, failure to act, or behavior which, in the sole judgment of the FAS committee, violates these Rules and/or the standards of integrity established by FAS for competitive gameplay.
- •All piloting behaviors are strictly forbidden and players who are confirmed with such actions will be punished to the fullest extent that the event organizer sees fit. Piloting includes but is not limited to:
- •Playing more than 1 account during a tournament
- •Using an unmatched real person ID in Registration
- •Playing someone else's account throughout the tournament
- •Players directly involved in piloting will receive a minimum 365-day ban from participating in all official FAS Esports events. Players who are indirectly involved in piloting, such as assisting any piloting behavior, will receive a minimum of a 180-day ban from participating in all FAS official Esports events.
- •All other violations that might prevent the normal proceeding of FAS . (Examples include a player’s personal decision to withdraw from an ongoing tournament, a player bad-mouthing an official tournament or related parties with malicious intent, etc.) The FAS committee reserves the right to issue all appropriate punishment it sees fit.
- •Player Conduct:
- •Players must NOT engage in any sexist, racist comments period. Failure to do so will face punishment ranging from a Prize Penalty, depending on the severity of the event, up to Indefinite Suspension on all official MOBA Legends Esports.
- •Players must respect and follow the local law.
- •Players must be able to commit to the time/schedule listed in the Handbook as well as any additional media requirements by Vizta and Event Organizers.
- •Manipulating match results such as agreeing on losing on purpose, engaging or imposing violent threats or activities will be considered as disqualification, and players and associated teams will be banned indefinitely upon further notice.
- •Players must remain respectful to all staff involved in the tournament. Behaviors including but not limited to, sexual harassment, verbal assault, and physical violence, are strictly forbidden. Players may file complaints and disputes to Event Organizers in respectful and direct ways. We treat customer service very seriously.
- •Players must actively play in the MLBB normal server. If a player is banned in a normal server, the player will not be allowed to play in FAS tournaments.
21. Penalties for Violations
- •Any rule violations may result in penalties such as 10% deduction from the prize pool or even disqualification.
- •If any team is caught using hacks or piloting by anyone other than the registered player, they will be immediately disqualified from the tournament and may be banned from all upcoming tournaments hosted by White Feathers Arcadia.
- •The Tournament Administration reserves the right to determine the severity of penalties based on the nature of the violation.
- •Three (3) penalty points will be awarded If the chat function in game is abused towards the goals of annoying the opponents or generally disrupting the flow of the play. The all chat function are there to communicate efficiently with the opponent and the match admins
22. Acceptance of Rules
By entering this tournament, all players acknowledge and agree to abide by all the rules outlined here. Failure to adhere to these rules may lead to immediate disqualification.
23. Rule Amendments
White Feathers Arcadia reserves the right to amend or update these rules as necessary. Case-by-case judgments may be made to ensure fair play.
24. Exclusive Streaming Rights
- •Only official influencers designated by the tournament administration are allowed to restream matches. Unauthorized restreaming will lead to disqualification. If you need to clip any part of the match, please ensure proper credits are given. For restreaming permissions, contact the admins via our Discord or WhatsApp group.
